The Olympus 14-42mm lens is easily the most superior of any of the lens kits. I like the very smooth and responsive zoom ring and the fact that there is no detectable zoom creep or wobbling involved. The body of the Olympus lens is made from a good quality plastic, which makes a light weight piece of equipment. The fact that the lens is also diminutive, make it easy and convenient to travel with. The salesperson told me that operators enjoy the auto focusing feature, which is fast and very accurate. After using this lens, I can attest to the fact that this is absolutely correct. You can manual focus this lens when it is in single AF mode. In terms of optical quality, this lens is very sharp on both the center and borders at any aperture and focal length. I found the price of the Olympus 14-42mm, to be very low and believe that it is a simple and user friendly lens, even for novice photographers.
